We first saw this house in October 1999 and bought it the following February. It is comfortable for 4 people (6 at a pinch). Click on the picture above to see what it used to look like.

Note: To anyone considering buying a house in France that needs building work I would advise: 'Don't assume that getting someone to do the work will be easy'. Estate agents may tell you that it only needs a septic tank and a new roof, and you'll have a lovely home... But unless you do the work yourself, you may have to wait a while. French artisans tend to be sole-traders, owing to the high cost of employing people.

Anyway, there is now a large kitchen and living room downstairs (with sofa bed) and two double bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. There is a big front garden and an even bigger garden at the back. We've also added a terrace front and back, and a sort of lean-to at the back.

We are always delighted to see anyone we know when we are there.
